About the Event

In this session, the hidden elements of culture will be dissected with an alternative perspective on lean to increase the odds of cultural uptake needed for a lasting lean transformation. Participants will be given a generic map for acquiring the perspective and knowledge necessary to establish a lean culture, with time at the end for Q+A.

PRESENTER

Mike Santarelli is a high-energy leader, with nearly 30 years of experience that has helped organizations transform their operations and achieve breakthrough results in a variety of industries, on a wide array of products, and across all types of processes. Mike’s background includes a BSIE and MSME, both from Columbia University, training in GE’s technical leadership program, with certificatioins as a black belt (GE), lean master after working with shingijutsu sensei (Danaher), ASQ CQE, ASQ CMQ, and 8D practical process improvement (ThermoFisher). Mike led a lean transformation from the ground up that was 1 of 4 finalists for the 2002 Danaher annual report and has earned more than a dozen divisional and company awards. On a volunteer basis, Mike also serves as a shingo examiner, an elite and diverse group with a proven track record of positive cultural change and organizational impact. Mike is an avid lecturer with speaking engagements at University of New Hampshire, the shingo institute, and greater boston manufacturing partnership. Mike grew up in Massachusetts and now lives in New Hampshire with his wife Kirsten, and has three children, William, Spencer, and Griffin.
